Disney Princess

Apparently since coming to Scotland I have become part Disney princess. The birds seem to want in. Yesterday I heard loud banging from my bedroom. On investigating, there was a young pigeon standing on my window sill, knocking on the window like he wanted to come. I went and grabbed my phone and he had settled on the ledge below the window when I got back. He didn't care when I stood there at the window taking photos. He just shot me glares as if saying, "When are you going to open that window? It's chilly out here."

I went out a hour later and he was still there. He had left but he time I back from my walk on the beach a few hours later, though he did leave some "gifts" on the ledge.
This morning I was woken up by a magpie, squawking and banging on the window to be let in. Not entirely sure what is going on right now.

Hen party

Some photos from a Hen party of 1920's burlesque.

Crocs of the World

During a weekend with friends in the Cotswolds, we finally went to Crocodiles of the world. Here are some photos.

Walk in the park

Last week, I went to the park for a walk to enjoy the sun and to test of the camera on my new phone.

Lily pond.

Palm trees (why not?)
I wondered around the woodland area and found some quiet trails no one else seemed interested in.

This weekend I enjoyed the sun in Kingston and walking along the river with Clare but I forgot to take any photos. (Too busy chatting!)

More Portland Weird

On my last night in Portland, I went out with Karilla and Jenny for dinner and then we meet up with Charles for another drag show. So some more Portland weird.

After this we need up at a male strip club. I did not take any photos there; it seemed wrong. I also didn't realise they got totally naked. (I was very surprised to see a naked guy pole dancing; you want to be very careful doing that.)

Drag brunch

On Sunday, I meet Charles and Karilla for drag brunch and the Night Lights Lounge. We got there early and dug into the food and coffee before the show which was very impressive. It is apparently the only drag show in Portland with transgender performers. I was extremely impressed by the stunts they did in some massive heels.

On roller skates.

Great voice.

"Britney"

I wasn't sure what to expect from my first full drag show. It was impressive. I also saw more boobs and more nipple tape than I expected. (Charles said that it was the first time he had seen them doing all that as well so I went on a good day.) If you are in Portland, I highly recommend it.

After this I went to the OMSI, their science museum but I won't recommend it. I am a bit of a science museum snob and it is probably great for little kids but for teens onwards, it's not so interesting. The most "interesting" part was display showing foetuses in their different stages. It has completely put me off having kids.

I walked around town for a bit but then had another chilled evening. (The second week I had multiple mornings with 6-9am meetings so took the chance to catch up on some sleep where I could.)
