Claremont

After a super rough week, with the weather turned gorgeous, I went out this morning to get away from the world, to Claremont, which was another of Queen Victoria's favourite places as a child.

Central lake

The amphitheatre.

from the Camellia Terrace

Belvedere Tower.
Thatched cottage - lots of games.
the Island
Black Swan - didn't even know these existed.
Once Queen Charlotte's tea house.
Queen Charlotte died (aged 21 from childbirth, along with her baby) before the tea house was finished so Prince Leopold finished it as a monument to her.
View from the top of the Amphitheatre.

Kyoto Gardens

A few photos from a sick trip to Kyoto Gardens in Holland Park.

Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace was, among others things, the childhood home of Queen Victoria and home of King George and Queen Mary (first and only truly joint monarchy).

Kings Staircase.

Not the best women fashion.
The ceilings are always the best.

There was an exhibition of Princess Diana's fashion.

Queen Victoria's doll house

The exact place where Victoria first laid eyes on Albert.

Painshill again

On the Sunday of mom and dads visit we went out to Painshill gardens/park. The weather held out and didn't rain, which is the best we can say.
Chilly but enjoying the view

Hermits bed.

I knackered them out walking so we chilled out on the night with dinner and a film. They left on Saturday :( to head to the caravan for a week. And I have spent this weekend relaxing and sleeping ahead of a busy few weeks.
