Centre Parcs - last day

We had to get out early (well 10am) on the last day and decided to walk the cases down to the car instead of trying to get the car up to the cabin (you can't drive around Centre Parcs, only to drop off and pack up but everyone checks out at the same time. Chaos.)
We were thinking about playing badminton but my knee was not happy so went bowling instead. I even won a game! I lost the other 2 but I still won one!

We played for 2 hours, which we didn't expect and just finished the last game before the computer kicked us off. Then we moved to pool. I was on the winning side 2 out of 3 times. Though that was because the other team managed to pot the black ball. I'm still counting it! :)
Clare breaking.
Such aim.
Such concentration.
While Matt and El went to the pool one last time, Clare and I sat and had a coffee and a chat which was lovely. We had a late lunch before heading home after dropping Clare at the train station. It was very sad. I really love spending time with these guys and we don't do it often enough. Hopefully my new job-to-be will be better and we can do this more often. :)

Centre Parcs - day 2

As the weather was good, we hit the mini golf on Sunday morning. I am really useless but it is fun. Matt get very competitive. We let him win. We could of won, of course, but chose not to. :/

Ready for battle
Getting prepared
It didn't start well with me using a lot of attempts and Clare  and El getting it off the course (though I think they still potted in less tries than me).
Off Road.
Close.
Also off-roading

It was so close.

In the afternoon the others went back to the pool but I had to work. :( So I stayed behind and took a walk after.

Centre Parcs - day 1

Last weekend I went to Centre Parcs in Milton Keynes to meet up with Matt, El and Clare for the weekend. On the Friday this involved a 10 hr trip, including 4 trains to get there. The others had spent all day at work so Friday night we eat and crashed. Well, El had had coffee so we had to go for a walk first to calm El down a bit.
The weather was good again and we hired a pedillo on the lake as Clare and El had always wanted to go on one. Matt and Clare decided to pedal - El and I didn't protest.
On the lake.
Enjoying the exercise.
Enjoying the ride.
El and I directed and we spent some time chasing ducks. And there were baby ducks!

Ducks ahoy!
Ignoring us.
Baby!

Having a nice bath
The lake and beach
All on the beach
In the afternoon we went to the pool - I forgot to pack my waterproof camera. I was not a fan of one of the rides though. The others went on again a few times but I decided to chill out in the wave pool and lazy river - much more my speed. I did really like  rapids, though I did feel bad about wiping out 4 small children and an older couple. Oops! I had no control over my direction.

We brought logs for the fire place. Matt may have set more on fire than needed - we ended up with a lot of smoke. We also brought dipping chocolate, strawberries and marshmallows for desert!
Fire!
Desert
And I did my first french braid in Clare's hair. I was very proud of my first effort.
