Time with my lovely dogs

While mom and dad were up, they got to meet Teddy and I spent a fair bit of time with Bim and Bell before Christmas.

Benderloch and swimming

When we went to Oban, we actually stayed 30 mins drive outside Oban in a tiny place called Benderlock. We were in a little cottage, 5 mins walk from an amazing beach where I convinced dad to go for a couple of swims. And I think he might be a convert to cold water swimming. Thought in a settling like this it is not hard.

First day in Nairn

On our first day in Nairn, we didn't do much; we were all a bit knackered form the trip. But the weather was too good not to go out to the beach, which is only a few minutes walk from the caravan where we were staying.

We had a nice walk and then dad and I went to get our swim stuff. We had a great swim though it was a bit colder than dad was used too.

Bamburg Castle

ON the way back to Edinburgh from camping, we stopped at Bamburg castle which is the place where the Lost Kingdom was set as Uhtred's home, Bebbanburg. We have both watched the series so figured why not?
The castle is set on a gorgeous beach (though we were much too lazy to walk down), and they had a costume display from the series.
Honestly it was nice but there wasn't as much there as I was expecting. The views were great and well worth it, though we were a little cautious on the battlements are the wind was still insanely strong.

It was a nice little stop but we were both happy to get home and unload the car and have proper showers. I still need to pack the tent back up but for that, I need a dry and not windy day, and frankly I live in Edinburgh so I am still waiting.
