We used the cheap Sun paper holidays to take a holiday with a holiday and on Friday went down to the Penzance area at the end of Cornwall for a long weekend, mainly because we had theatre tickets for the Friday night. It turns out we were a way from Penzance at Kennack Sands and very close to a lovely beach. As we got there too early to check in we headed to said beach for a lounge in the sun.

ON the Friday evening we had tickets to see 'Tomorrow's End' at the Minack Theatre. This is an open air theatre set into the side of the cliff overlooking the coast line.
Dad and I had seats on the lower balcony but due to mom's reduced mobility, she had to stay up at the top area.

The only issue was the temperature. Thanks to a very cold wind sweeping down the cliff and it being crystal clear, it was freezing! Unusually so apparently. Even the actors put on extra layers during half time and they are used to the weather. Dad and I had to huddle up under a spare coat. But poor mom was even more exposed. We were happy when the play finished and we could get back to the car and its heating. Though I would recommend the play. Just somewhere a little warmer.
